Glastonbury and St. Ives
We left the glowing city of Bath this morning to travel and find more sites to explore! We started in Glastonbury, a town steeped in legends including King Arthur and even the Holy Grail. We explored the remains of the great abbey, imaging what life might have been like when it was in its true state hundreds of years ago. King Arthur's tomb resides in the middle of it all-simply marked and in absolutely no way adorned. It was not the way I expected that legendary king's grave to look, but perhaps it is exactly the way this just king would have wanted.
Glastonbury Tor was next on our list-a place where even more myths abound. The Tor has been a place of worship and celebration for different religions for hundreds, possibly thousands of years. From the top of the 158 meter hill, we were overwhelmed with stunning views of the countryside and were nearly blown over the side of the hill with huge gusts of wind! As the day had been off and on with rain, we discussed how thrilled we were that we didn't have to use our umbrellas at the top as we were certain it would not have gone as well for us as it did for Mary Poppins.
After several hours of driving, we've arrived in the little coastal village of St. Ives. The sea is a stone's throw from our window here in the Grey Mullet!
I believe we will thoroughly enjoy our time here in Cornwall!

We're are about due for the 1 day of rain this fall here in Doha, so it's fun to see your photos. Enjoy your travels!
Wow! Well, I certainly feel like England is hoarding a bit of the rain, I wish I could share! :) Thanks for reading!
