Cotswolds

The Cotswolds is a picturesque area of England: an area of precious little villages with narrow lanes, window boxes and thatched roofs. It is an area of the country I've wanted to see, and Mack and Stephanie had driven through the villages before but wanted to spend some more time here. We drove through several absolutely adorable villages, stopping in one for some hot chocolate (there were flurries for much of midday) and some cute knick-knack and antique shops. The town was totally composed of the same yellow stones, reminding me of my favorite little village in Tuscany.

We are now staying in one of these little villages at a pub. We've got a three story cottage for the night that is attached to the pub; it is just perfect! There are large wooden beams, stone floors, and cozy rooms. I've got the attic room with a view over the town square. What a lovely getaway!
